The Dad Files Story
More About The Dad Files
The global Covid-19 pandemic drove the initiation of The Dad Files and this is where I had intended to leave it.
Therefore, as normality returned and following the relative calm after the two year storm, I had put the mighty blogging pen to one side.
The time has now come to kick things off again and give a little context to the birth and purpose.

How it all started
It was many years ago I originally considered writing some stories. Nobody had heard of Coronavirus and everyone could travel further than their front door or patio!

I was a recent Dad and sat on a train heading to a London meeting. I recall saying to myself, "it's a dog's life", in reference to the 16th Century lives for our furry friends of today. I had been squashed into a chair, far too small for my 6ft frame and mused that you probably cannot transport animals like this these days. Should it be "it's a Dad's life" I thought to myself!

From then on, I stored a few funny stories in the memory banks for the right time.
Then Covid hit...

The Dad Files was born...

Purpose
Inspired to get writing during the lockdowns, I took the step to start bringing a bit of humour to shielding family and friends.

It’s just a bit of fun and I very much hope you enjoy hearing about days in the life of a Dad - it’s a Dad’s life!
I plan to release a regular blog, so please stay tuned...
Check out the blog page now for the latest release. You will also see the stories from the 'back catalogue' too. Primarily written through the Covid Lockdowns, where their purpose was to bring laughter at very difficult times.
If you do choose to read a few, they all stand on their own as separate stories but if you read chronologically from the oldest first, you might start to get a bit of Dad Files history for the newer blogs.
