About an hour - What’s the question?

Time seems to go very quickly as a Dad. It could be work related as you simply run out of time to get things completed before you rush back home, so you don’t miss bath time or a cuddle before bed time.
As you grow older and the kids get bigger, you also learn to fire back answers to questions in the hope of saving time. Sometimes simply saying the same stock answer as the questions get shot at you like the rotary cannon on the front of Blue Thunder (helicopter from the 80s film of the same name).
When is dinner? How long will we be? When will we get there? When can I go out? When can I have a treat? How much longer will we be? When are we leaving? When can we go home? How long is the flight? How long does it take? How long will it be?
I decided on a stock response “about an hour” I would always reply!!
Over the years, the questions become less but do become more complicated when the kids grow that bit older. They will also get their own back....
“Come on you two get out of bed, you’ll be late for school, how long are you going to be?”
.................”About an hour!” they shout in unison!
